It is finally here!
The first issue of Never Mind the Dice Rolls is live on our Itchio and DriveThru stores, your new compact TTRPG zine packed with articles, reviews, scenarios, and plot hooks is ready for you!
Physical copies will be shortly with us before we post them onwards to anyone ordering a paper copy and to our wonderful contributors.
Safe to say we certainly learnt a lot these last months on how to produce a zine, and now have lots of admiration for folk who have done this or produced their own TTRPG. Never Mind the Dice Rolls will evolve over the next year as we improve or want to try out new ideas, but it will be a bag friendly little tome so you can enjoy reading whether at home, on transport, or the pub! We have reviews of games by folk who have been playing the game either multiple times or run a longer campaign, they may not be the latest games out there in reviews but we feel confident these ones are great for a better insight into the game and will give you a good feel for if this is the game for you.
Our article range is from beginner (we were all there once) to experienced with points of view for discussion and thought. We are looking for more contributors, so if you have an article you would love to get published then please do get in contact. Sadly, we aren’t in position to pay yet but we offer an advert in the zine you are published in and the one after plus you get a copy of the zine. We are working hard for this situation to change in the future and hope we will be able to offer this plus a good fair rate soon.
We hope that you enjoy this first issue, we have lots of plans for more regular features, and special editions… Talking of which, our next issue is our Halloween Special so there will be a focus on spooky fun, horror scenarios, and ghoulish delights for you. It will be out at the beginning of October so you will have lots of time to plan that Halloween game for your table!
Hopefully this blog will be updated each week, with me and Nick alternating posting so it will be an interesting peep into the heads of the editors of this zine.
If anyone out there whether they run a physical or online shop would like to get involved in selling our zine then please do get in touch via the contact form as we would love to get our zine out there for folk to see.
See you next time! Kat
